Teraaaaaayza got away again

Look, I'm not suggesting that this woman is anything like the moral threat to the Constitution that Hillary Clinton was, or a threat to anything, really, other than good taste. But doesn't John Kerry have to keep his wife away from microphones and cameras, even if it means tying her up and keeping her sedated? I wasn't going to say anything about her "scumbag" outburst, but what she said today...

Oh, heck, read on"

"Hot-tempered would-be first lady Teresa Heinz Kerry has once again lashed out at her critics, this time during a Pittsburgh television interview where she called them "scumbags."The ugly outburst, revealed nationally for the first time in a lengthy profile in the September 27th issue of The New Yorker magazine, is the most outrageous so far by the billionaire ketchup heiress and pushes the bounds of behavior voters might accept in a first lady.

"The New Yorker's Judith Thurman chronicled some of Heinz Kerry's more well-known verbal gaffes before noting the videotaped vulgarity:

"'She dismissed voters skeptical of her husband’s health-care proposals as "idiots," and, in a television interview with a Pittsburgh anchorwoman, employed the word "scumbags" to describe some of her detractors,' Thurman said.

"'There are these bizarre moments that make you shudder,' one Kerry adviser told Thurman. 'Like calling herself African-American to black audiences.'"

Get a load of what she's said now:

"The daughter of a doctor, Heinz loves to dispense medical advice. Friends think she is `delightful, loving, funny and kindhearted' but her step-daughters, Vanessa and Alexandra Kerry, did not hit it off with her at first.

"`I thought, "I love kids, kids love me, I'll be fine." Baloney,' Teresa said. `You have to treat stepchildren like pets. You're nice to them but you don't get too close or they chew you up. Well, I did it the other way.'"

"You have to treat stepchildren like pets"???

Ye gads, this woman is Marie Antoinette with a 21st-century feminist 'tude. She's the anti-Laura. She reinforces every horrid stereotype about Kerry that his team ought to be trying to beat down.

But nobody's going to control her, least of all Lurch, because that billion is still hers.

Kind of like if Frank Burns had converted to liberalism and and Hotlips Houlihan had been loaded.
