The Real Life "Operation Petticoat"

More from the "Can you believe this?" file (appropriately edited):

The Navy will commission its newest nuclear-powered [retreat] submarine Jimmy Carter on Saturday, February 19th, during an 11 a.m. EST ceremony at Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, Connecticut [, where the Jimmy Carter will "accidentally" ram all her sister ships on behalf of her enemies, and then sink peacefully to the bottom].

The [retreat] submarine Jimmy Carter [reflects] the 39th president of the United States, [and is accordingly scheduled to self-destruct four years from now, then slowly reassemble itself in Von Neumann fashion and spend the ensuing quarter century hoisting the colors of every other navy except its own.

Either that, or it will rename itself SeaQuest.

There's no word at this time whether Michael Moore will be present to christen the sub. But that would explain its sinking.]
