The Lamont Tsunami

Li'l Neddie is a pox on his own campaign. After "weighing in" last week on Vice President Cheney's pot-stirring that included accusations that Joe Lieberman is Big Time's ventriloquist dummy, and publishing a personal political manifesto in the Wall Street Journal the other day, the Connecticut Democrat senatorial nominee has gone from trailing the independent incumbent by six points....to trailing the independent incumbent by twelve points.

There's a lesson there for all the center-left wishful thinkers hand-rubbingly treating the 2006 mid-term election as a Donk fait accompli (just as they did the 2004 Donk fait accompli and the 2002 Donk fait accompli and the 2000 Donk fait accompli). But don't expect them to learn it any time soon.
