How Predictable

Not surprisingly, the New York Times is using the awful tragedy at Virginia Tech to squeal about the need for gun control. No matter that no one knows yet how the gunman got his gun, or really anything much. There are still so many questions surrounding this that it's going to take some time to get all the answers. No matter. The geniuses at the Times already know that if we had stiffer gun control laws, this would never have happened. Stupid, of course, but completely predictable.

I take the opposite view. What if the professors in the classrooms were permitted to keep a loaded gun either on their person or where they could get at it quickly? This evil nut could have been cut down before he killed 32 people. Now I know...many liberal professors on college campuses would cringe at the thought of keeping a gun in their classrooms. However, as I said, that simple policy could have saved a lot of lives.
