Honored Everywhere Except His Hometown

I'm sitting here with tears running down my face after reading this and this, about Navy Seal Danny Dietz, who was killed in action, and the opposition to a statue raised in his honor in his hometown. I'm sad that there are people in this country who do not appreciate what these soldiers are doing for us over there, and what they're going through to do it. VOLUNTARILY. With liberals nipping at their heels and threatening to withdraw funding from them while they're out there being shot at. If you aren't furious yet, you aren't paying attention. The likes of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Jack Murtha, Ted Kennedy, and the rest of the kooks on the Left aren't fit to wipe the boots of these heroes, and yet there they are, holding the purse strings and threatening to yank them if they don't get their way...and their way is DEFEAT. Thank God President Bush is adamant on this point. But I digress.

The focus here should be on Danny Dietz and his fellow soldiers and their courage in the face of unspeakable horror, all so this country can remain free. God bless our military personnel. No words can express my gratitude.

JASmius adds: Defeat is what the American people voted for last November. Knowingly and willfully. So while we can, and should, be sad and angry at the treachery meted out to our men and women in uniform like Danny Dietz, we cannot claim to be surprised.

The Traitorcrats will never be silenced. But they can be shouted down, if anybody on our depleted side of the aisle will resolve to muster the lungpower.
