Viva la France!

Hi folks! Business is good, computer has been bad, so I've been scarce. I see Jim is in top form, though!

Just wanted to pass a few things along this morning that I found interesting:

Lawrence Kudlow thinks the Democrats may be dooming themselves to defeat. From your lips to God's ear, Lawrence!

Kinda funny how the French election has the press bugged, isn't it? Ann Coulter has a great take on it. Some pearls of wisdom from Sarkozy:

He explained his position on Muslim immigrants in France, saying: "Nobody has to, I repeat, live in France. But when you live in France, you respect its rules. That is to say that you are not a polygamist. ... One doesn't practice female genital mutilation on one's daughters, one doesn't slit the throat of the sheep, and one respects the republican rules."

Sarko never issued an apology or entered rehab. To the contrary, he said: "I called some individuals that I refuse to call 'youth' by the name they deserve. ... I never felt that by saying 'scum' I was being vulgar, hypocritical or insincere."

My goodness, would that some of our own politicians would speak so forcefully and truthfully!

Here's a rarity...some common sense from a Democrat. Yes, I know technically he's an Independent, but he caucuses with the Democrats. Joe Lieberman opines on the Senate floor regarding funding our troops. How he can stand to continue to stay associated with the seditious morons on the Democrat side of the aisle is beyond me.

JASmius adds: He diminishes his voice and himself by continuing to stay on that side of the aisle and associating himself with the very people who stabbed him in the back last year. Until J-Lieb starts walking the walk over to the GOP, why should we continue to listen to him talk the talk that he clearly isn't willing to back up?

Let him put or shut up, or else admit that his convictions are either phony or so weakly held as to be not worth a damn.
