Remember Them

Remember to say a prayer for the families of those who have given their lives in order for us to enjoy our cookouts and family time today in freedom and prosperity. Remember those who are still serving our great nation, here at home and overseas, and remember that they're enduring hardship, discomfort, and great danger willingly, because they love their country. These are extraordinary men and women, and they deserve our unfailing support and our daily prayers.

"In the swift rush of great events, we find ourselves groping to know the full sense and meaning of these times in which we live. In our quest of understanding, we beseech God's guidance."

Dwight D. Eisenhower

I'm thankful that we have a President who, I believe, beseeches God's guidance on a daily basis. He needs our prayers as well.

"God grants liberty only to who who love it, and are always ready to guard and defend it."

Daniel Webster

May we always be a nation willing to protect and defend our liberty. May those who seek to undermine us and destroy us, from without and within, always be defeated. This is my favorite passage, and one I have come to rely on more and more:

"Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thansgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Philippians 4:6-7

Paraphrased, this means don't worry about it; pray, and let God take care of it.

God Bless America, and all the men and women and their families who have sacrificed and continue to do so in order that we may be free.
