The Hillary Express

....raised $27 million in the recently concluded third quarter. Even Imelda Marcos never had that many Hsus.

Here's another of that sleazy podiacal retinue:

A purported pyramid-scheme operator who was run out of Arkansas when Bill Clinton was governor has reinvented himself as the head of an upstate group accused of being a "cult" - and his devotees have pumped thousands into Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential run.

Executives and top associates of the Albany-based NXIVM group - along with their family members - donated $29,900 to Clinton's presidential campaign, according to federal records.

On March 14 and April 13, records show, more than a dozen contributions poured into Clinton's coffers from NXIVM, an executive and group-awareness training organization led by Brooklyn-born Keith Raniere, 47. ...

In his previous incarnation, the Svengali-like Raniere ran a $30 million multilevel marketing business that imploded after federal agencies and regulators in 23 states alleged it was an illegal pyramid scheme.
It's the Clinton way to bury their political enemies in equal measures of money and slime. The latter comes out of their black hearts (or, as Jon Stewart said the other night, "Hillary will be the first president we dare not pour water on".) The former comes from wherever they can get the most of it - whether it's from the People's Republic of China, Indonesian conglomerates, or the "creative" fundraising apparati of La Clinton Nostra itself. Which is probably a redundancy, come to think of it.

Regardless, it's little wonder that even the vaunted vanguards of Generalissimo Obama's Vikingesque plunderers, to say nothing of the poor, sadsack Republicans, are getting left in the dollar-harvesting dust. It's just one more thing to keep in mind next year as the Clinton Machine steamrolls over Fred or Mitt or Rudy with one hit and smear ad after another while Her Nib sits on her throne, polishing her halo in order to make it fit beneath her coming crown (and around her horns) and preparing her coronation (um, inauguration) speech in which campaign finance reform will doubtless be a central lynchpin.

We can only hope it rains - suddenly - on January 20, 2009.

I sure hope Storm....

....is a Republican....

UPDATE: Maybe she can make it rain babies a few months earlier.
