Cheney Takes A Chance

Big Time crossed a rhetorical Rubicon today that could come back to bite him and his boss.

"It's absolutely essential that eight weeks from today, on November 2nd, we make the right choice, because if we make the wrong choice then the danger is that we'll get hit again."

Cheney’s referring to the likelihood and greater ease of another al Qaeda attack under a Kerry presidency, of course. But if they succeed in hitting us again before Election Day, as all the “chatter” indicates they’re trying their best to do, comments like this one are guaranteed to resurface, with possibly devastating effect.

I can only hope that the veep knows something that we don’t.
