Rat-A-Tat-Tat

Some semi-automatic observations....

***Why is American politics all frakked up? Jim Geraghty sez it's the people's fault.

***The acolytes of the religion of global warming make the medieval Roman Catholic Church look like paragons of tolerance and reason.

***Aspiring reconquistadors don't seem unable to recognize another amnesty bill when they see one.

***Maryland Democrats' only means of keeping GOP rising star and current Lieutenant-Governor Michael Steele out of the U.S. Senate may be to leave him dangling at the end of a rope from the nearest tree.

On the other hand, they may just settle for screwing him like a three-dollar whore.

***Here's an amusing blurb from the latest Evans-Novak report:

[Senate Majority Leader Bill] Frist is mostly to blame for this outcome [the collapse of last week's immigration "compromise"], as he appears to have lost control of the Senate....The immigration saga is the latest proof that Frist is not working from an agenda - seeking to accomplish specific policy goals - but instead sees himself as a legislative traffic cop, a dealmaker who exchanges promises of floor time and lets the Senate take up whatever bills come down the pike.

Two observations

(1) I wasn't aware that Fristy had ever had control of the Senate;

(2) Bob Dole may be long gone, but his moribund legacy lives on.

***On whose side are the Saudis? Why, their own, of course.

***Hamas definitely knows what kind of people they're dealing with.

***Who would ever have believed that Wesley Clark would gain a disciple?

***Last week the GOP House closed another campaign finance barn door after the contributions horse was long gone. Ooops, I'd better shut up, I might be violating that legislation by even discussing it here. Wait, I know, I'll just take off all my clothes and stick pasties on my nuts - that way it'll be considered free speech.

Aren't you glad we don't have a webcam feature?

***You knew that Harry Reid is a lying weasel of a hypocrite, didn't you?

***Maybe if these middle school students start showing up at school in the buff, they'll get in less trouble.
