Blatant Censorship
Sounds like the Democrats are having a little success in continuing to cover up the truth of Bill Clinton's failure as a President:
ABC Television continues to make changes to its miniseries The Path to 9/11, after a barrage of criticism from former Clinton administration officials. "No one has seen the final version of the film, because the editing process is not yet complete, so criticisms of ... specifics are premature and irresponsible," ABC said in a statement yesterday. The statement was the network's first official confirmation that the version shown at a press event in Washington a few days ago - and distributed in DVD format to hundreds of reporters and TV reviewers - is not the one that will air Sunday and Monday. The ABC statement gave no details about what changes might be made. The move follows complaints to Robert Iger, chairman of ABC parent company Disney, from former President Bill Clinton and two senior officials from his administration, criticizing the film's portrayal of their efforts to capture or kill al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
What a loathsome bunch the Democrats are.
JASmius adds: Hmmm; it's perfectly okay to smear the President of the United States in the midst of his re-election campaign with forged documents; it's okey-dokey to perpetrate a massive fraud against Karl Rove and Scooter Libby over a "leaked" CIA broad's identity that was actually spilled by a State Department drone with the full knowledge of the appointed special prosecutor from the very beginning; but a TV network puts together a documentary that dares to even semi-accurately depict the FACT that the Clinton administration has the blood of three thousand dead American civilians on its hands, and THAT must be censored at all costs.
I'll say it again: what do you think ABC's reaction would be if they decided to air Fahrenheit 9/11 and the Bushies and their GOP supporters angrily demanded that it be pulled?
The Democrats are more than just loathsome hypocrites; this is prima facie evidence of their burgeoning totalitarianism, and the national nightmare that will descend upon us if we are so foolish as to turn the keys to the kingdom back over to them. It is also naked evidence that they fear what even a semi-accurate depiction of the inevitable product of their foreign policy nostrums will do to their election chances. And it is, in and of itself, a political death knell.
