The First Impeachment Victim?

Dr. Eric Keroack could be the first Bushie to be dragged to the guillotine:

Several Democratic lawmakers asked [IOW, commanded] the Bush Administration on Monday to replace its new family-planning chief because he has worked for a health provider that opposes the use of birth control.

Dr. Eric Keroack's record as an opponent of birth control and abortion makes him a poor choice to oversee a $280 million reproductive-health program, seven House of Representatives Democrats said in a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt.

"We are concerned that Dr. Keroack has promoted policies - including the refusal to distribute contraception even to married women - that directly conflict with the mission of the federal program," the letter said.

Roughly translated, what the Donks are saying is, "We're back in the Legislative saddle, so you have to run the Executive Branch our way too." T'is hard not to glean that level of hauteur from their arrogant presumption that the mission of a "reproductive health program" is to promote abortion as "birth control" and other deviancies that do anything but promote "reproductive health."

However, the President did promise Crazy Nancy and Dirty Harry full "bipartisan" cooperation, so don't be surprised if Dr. Keroak is the first of many social (and other) conservatives to get thrown beneath the grinding fratricidal wheels of the "New Tone" bus - and George W. Bush ultimately joins them.
