Socialists All

Well, isn't this interesting:

European Socialists promised on Thursday to work to rebuild Europe's strategic alliance with the United States now that the Democrats control Congress after last month's elections.

Socialist leaders attending a meeting of the European Socialist Party pledged that with the
Democrats on the rise, strong ties could be renewed with the United States after years of cool relations with Republican President George W. Bush.

Howard Dean, chairman of the national committee of the U.S. Democratic Party, is attending the two-day conference together with the leaders of leftist governments of several countries and party leaders from across Europe.

Howard Dean schmoozing with leftist leaders in Europe. Guess the Democrats don't have to hide who they are any more, now that they've won the election. Wonder if there's any voter's remorse yet in the U.S.?

JASmius adds: I doubt it. The Dems didn't fool anybody about who they really are in this election cycle. Voters knew they were pulling the lever for left-wing extremist seditionists who would explode the size of government and surrender in the GWOT. They were simply sold on that being the right way to go because Republicans failed to muster much, if any, substantive argument against it that they actually practiced as the majority.

When you put up something against nothing, something will win every time. The question is whether our side will ever figure that out again, and if so whether it will come too late to save the country from the dismal fate to which it has consigned itself.
