Life In Ukrainington

Highlights from the latest email from the Washington State Impotence Party:

Last week has been an extremely busy one in Washington State politics. The legislature reached “half time,” the date where a bill must pass either the House or Senate and Seattle voters loudly voiced their dissatisfaction with Democratic plans for the Viaduct. However, there was another extremely important development last week that [former Attorney General Christine "Usurper"] Gregoire is trying to hide.

In the heat of the news coverage of the day after the Seattle Viaduct vote, the Seattle Times revealed that [former Attorney General] Gregoire has restarted her....felon release program. You can read the report here.

Less than two weeks after telling Washingtonians she was “outraged” that [she] had been releasing thousands of felons every year and promising to end the felon releases – [former Attorney General] Gregoire is releasing felons again.

[Former Attorney General] Gregoire’s [unconscionable] policy is endangering our families and endangering our communities....

Sounds pretty good up to that point, doesn't it? Kind of like Rocky I, II, and III, before Sylvester Stallone had to tack on IV, V, and VI like oil cans tied to the rear bumper of a newlywed couple's vehicle.

Hey, can I telegraph or what?

Last week, I asked you to write letters to the editor, and tell your friends about this growing scandal. If you haven’t already, please do so this week. If you need more information about the program, please email communications@wsrp.org.
Ooooh, THAT'll strike terror into Donk hearts. In reality, this isn't a scandal because (1) this state is "bluer" than the District of Columbia, and therefore emptying all the prisons is part of what the majority knowingly and deliberately voted for, even if they didn't really vote for Gregoire; and (2) everybody knows only Republicans commit scandals. That's what it says on the news, anyway, and they never lie, do they?

But watch our state chairman soldier doggedly on:

In the next few weeks, the legislature will begin debating our state’s budget. [Former Attorney General] Gregoire’s budget paves the way for more early felon releases by refusing to fund construction of more prisons. In fact, she has specifically directed the Department of Corrections not to build new prisons.

I hope the legislature completely reworks [former Attorney General] Gregoire’s proposed budget, and starts getting serious about keeping felons off our streets. But with Democrats in control, I’m skeptical.

Luke Esser "hopes" the illegitimate squatter's budget gets "reworked" to avert a crime wave that the Justice League couldn't stop. Kind of like the Bush Administration "hopes" that another soon-to-be former attorney general doesn't quit. Funny how our "hopes" never get realized, and their scandals never quit - and never quit getting celebrated as "progressivism."

At the half-time point in the Legislative session, each chamber has debated and voted on its own bills. Now they are beginning to look at the bills from across the Rotunda; the House reviewing bills that passed the Senate while the Senate reviews proposals adopted by the House. The results so far show that Democrats continue to push for extremist measures expanding the role of state government, overruling local control in school, and pushing to make Washington businesses less competitive....

The Democrat’s Far Left Agenda:

Outlawing Abstinence Only Sex Education. SB 5297 outlaws the teaching of “abstinence only” sex education in Washington, requiring all local school districts to adopt a “how-to” sex curriculum. Senate Republicans led by Joe Zarelli offered a number of amendments to allow local school district choice in this most sensitive area, but Democrats united to block the local control amendments.

[Sodomarriage via the "back door"]. The Senate passed SB 5336 to create a what one pundit dubbed “gay marriage lite” – a new civil union between gay couples (and some seniors).

Impeachment & Income Tax. Although Democrats tried not to let their true colors show too often, they couldn’t help but hold two hearings that let their far-left agenda show through. One waste of taxpayers time and money was a hearing to impeach President Bush, even though the power to impeach clearly rests with the United States House of Representatives. Another hearing sought public input on the Democrat’s proposal for a state income tax.

Same Day Voter Registration. Democrats have come up with a new proposal guaranteed to spur vote fraud. SB 5561 will allow a person to register up to and on the day of an election. Current law cuts of registration 15 days prior to the election. All Republicans opposed the bill, along with three Democrats who couldn’t bear to be a part of it. This bizarre legislation was introduced just as King County Prosecutor Norm Maleng opened an investigation into rampant voter registration fraud by a far-left group. [They ought to call that the "Gregoire Governor For Life Act"]

Anti-Business Bills. The Democrats also hauled out and passed a series of bills to make it harder to employ people in Washington, including SB 5659, a tax increase for a new Family and Medical Leave government bureaucracy....

Liberals Begin Push for Income Tax

This week the State Senate Democrats held a hearing on imposing an income tax on Washington State. Though they know full well they don’t have the support to pass the bill this year, they see this as the beginning of a larger push for an income tax in the future. You can read a summary of the hearing here.

{Gaccck} Enough, already. Now you know why I stopped paying attention to state politics years ago. It's like being a fan of Seattle sports teams - you know you're out of the race before even the exhibition season starts. The gubernatorial race a couple of years ago was so unexpectedly competitive that it whetted my state political hopes for the first time in a decade, only to have that corrupt, thieving cunt steal it away from the hapless Dino Rossi like Al Gore couldn't quite manage to rob George W. Bush blind in 2000.

If I were an Islamist I'd say raze the entire city of Olympia to the ground, pave over the ruins, and piss on it for good measure. Then drag the miserable usurper Gregoire and her entire party to the nearest row of lampposts in Tumwater and....well, never mind, I'm not an Islamist. If I were, the Democrats would analigualize me until their eyes sank completely into their skulls. Hence their new "civil union" dodge.

No, I'm a Republican. I'd be relegated to the back of the bus if I didn't abhor public mass transit too much to ever ride on them. Enjoying my second class citizenship as best I can. Awaiting a [political] deliverer that'll never come.

And if he does, his name sure as hell won't be "Esser".
