A Brief & Modest Triple Threat

John Edwards, yesterday:

"If Mayor Giuliani believes that what the president has done is good ... and runs a campaign for the presidency saying 'I will give you four more years of that this president has done,' he's allowed to do that. He will never be elected president, but he is allowed to do that," Edwards said.

Giuliani Communications Director Katie Levinson, a short time later:

"We are glad to see Rudy's criticism of the Democrats not understanding the terrorists' war on us is starting to register with them.

“John Edwards' track record of predicting election outcomes speaks for itself.”

Me, now:

Actually, neither of these guys is going to be elected president. But Giuliani's defeat will have nothing to do with national security. Opie's, on the other hand, will have so many "fathers" [case in point] that orphanhood will look like a viable bargain.
