Golddigger

I remember people saying how classy the Rutgers women's basketball team was regarding Don Imus' ignorant "nappy-headed hos" remark. Well, Kia Vaughn has now laid that opinion to rest.

Don Imus is facing his first lawsuit from a player on the Rutgers Women's Basketball team for derogatory comments that cost him his job as a radio host in April, ABC News has learned.
Kia Vaughn, star center for the Rutgers Women's Basketball team, has filed a lawsuit against Imus for libel, slander and defamation -- the first civil suit to be filed against the former radio host. Vaughn is asking for monetary damages of an unspecified amount.

Obviously, some slick trial lawyer has convinced her of her victimhood and made her see dollar signs...of which he'll get a substantial share, of course, if they win.

"This is a lawsuit in order to restore the good name and reputation of my client, Kia Vaughn," said her attorney, Richard Ancowitz, in an exclusive interview with the ABC News Law & Justice Unit.

Ah, the slick trial lawyer's name is Richard Ancowitz. You aren't restoring anything, sir. I had never heard of Kia Vaughn before this incident, now her name will be synonymous with "golddigger."

I'm no Imus fan, but I'm sick of people in this country claiming they've been damaged by a stupid remark by someone else. We've become a bunch of whiney children. Grow up, Kia. Imus apologized, you accepted...until of course he got a multimillion dollar settlement from CBS. Interesting timing, that.

JASmius adds: Especially in the light of his new radio gig with ABC. He was on the sidelines for all of - what, four months? Proves Imus is a lib, doesn't it? No conservative host would ever get a second chance.

Yesterday's Line Of The Day award goes to Ed Morrissey for this gem:

So now ABC will have Imus, while CBS has ... Boomer Esiason. WFAN, where Imus broadcasted his show, just announced that they have signed the former NFL star to Imus' old slot. CBS wound up settling a $120 million lawsuit and only got a quarterback.
