Beyond Parody

I’m telling you, John Kerry is making it all but impossible to parody him.

Kerry: Iraq Is ‘The Wrong War In The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time.’ ‘Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry on Monday called the invasion of Iraq “the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time” and said his goal was to withdraw U.S. troops in his first White House term.’ (Patricia Wilson, " Kerry on Iraq: Wrong War, Wrong Place, Wrong Time, Reuters, 9/6/04)

Dean: Iraq Is ‘The Wrong War, At The Wrong Time.’ ‘I firmly believe that the President is focusing…on the wrong war, at the wrong time, when our energy and our resources should be marshaled for the greatest threats we face. Yes, Saddam Hussein is evil. But Osama bin Laden is also evil, and he has attacked the United States, and he is preparing now to attack us again. What happened to the war against al Qaeda?’ (Howard Dean, Remarks At Drake University, 2/17/03)

Looks like Kerry has decided not to take Clinton’s advice. How bad is this headlong plunge into Deania? The fact he’s now saying he’d withdraw from “the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time” by “the end of his first term” instead of in his first six months in office, as he promised right before he said he’d have voted to go to “the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time” anyway, has gotten completely buried. Heck, who’s to say that Bush will still have forces in Iraq that long?

Incidentally, who was a prominent debunker of Dr. Demented’s anti-war claim?

“[T]hose who doubted whether Iraq or the world would be better off without Saddam Hussein, and those who believe today that we are not safer with his capture, don't have the judgment to be president or the credibility to be elected president."

-Senator John Kerry, December 16th, 2003, at Drake University

How long until Lurch starts getting Executive Producer credit in Bush-Cheney campaign ads?
