Does Kerry have an innie or an outie?

Newsmax has a piece headlined, "Top GOPers in 'Major Effort' to Uncover Kerry's Naval Discharge." It begins...

"Top Republicans in Washington are trying to determine whether or not John Kerry received an honorable discharge from the Navy, the reporter who's taken the lead in probing Kerry's naval records said Sunday.

"'I've already received an indication from high-ranking Republican officials that, basically, there is a major effort going on in Washington to find proof,' of the type of discharge Kerry received, New York Sun reporter Thomas Lipscomb told WABC Radio's Steve Malzberg."

Lipscomb did yeoman work back in August on unraveling Kerry's tall tales about his ersatz Vietnam combat exploits. And it would be very educational to see whether or not a dishonorable discharge, if not outright cashiering, is what he really received back in 1972, though I doubt we'll see anything about this surface before Election Day.

What I got a kick out of was the headline. Makes it sound like the entire Beltway is trolling for Lurch's bellybutton lint.

Ten to one it's made out of cashmere....
