Has John Kerry learned nothing from the Swifboat Vet fiasco?
The answer, apparently, is no.
"An angry and worried John Kerry claims Sinclair Broadcasting will violate federal broadcasting rules if it shows the documentary Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal.
"In a letter released Friday the Kerry campaign made clear it wants to stop the film from being broadcast on television. If Sinclair does air the documentary, Kerry is demanding the station group give his campaign equal time.
"In a letter to Sinclair president David Smith, Kerry campaign general counsel Marc Elias claims the documentary is not a true news documentary – and therefore should be treated as a political commercial.
"The Kerry letter comes on the heels of the FCC's announcement Thursday that it would not accede to the request of Democratic senators who demanded the commission stop the airing of the film."
And now, because of yet another hamfisted Kerry attempt at censorship, even more viewers will tune in to see what the fuss is all about.
Cry me a river, Senator. Maybe if you squirt enough crocodile tears out of those plaid eyes of yours, there'll be enough to float Michael Moore.
Or drown him.
We'll let you choose, since when you change your mind, you can always raise him from the dead.
And heal your own hernia.
