When I've periodically urged that Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter be "gotten rid of," this is far from what I had in mind.

He and his family will be in our prayers.

Of course, if wielding the Judiciary gavel will prove too strenuous, he should, by all means, do what is in the best interests of his health (among other things) and step down....
