The Left Is The Home Of Domestic Terrorism

And yet, ten years and a day after the Oklahoma City bombing, which may well have been masterminded by al Qaeda, they're still trying to smear the Right with that label.

The Homeland Security Department is focusing on possible terror threats from radical environmental and animal rights activists without also examining risks that might be posed by right-wing extremists, House Democrats said Tuesday.

A recent internal Homeland Security document lists the Animal Liberation Front and the Earth Liberation Front with a few Islamic groups that could potentially support al-Qaida as domestic terror threats.

The document does not address threats posed by white supremacists, violent militiamen, anti-abortion bombers and other extremists that Representative Bennie G. Thompson, D-MS, called "right-wing hate groups."

ALF and ELF "are the left-leaning groups that they identified," said Thompson, the top Democrat on the House Homeland Security Committee. "But they absolutely left out any of the other groups."

Well, Congressman, maybe the reason HLS is focusing on left-wing terrorist groups is because the vast majority of domestic terrorism of late (and not so late) has been coming from...well, left-wing terrorist groups. It's HLS's job to identify actual threats, not run its analysis through an ideological quota filter.

You can tell that Thompson plucked his "right wing hate group" examples off the top of his head. Sliming pro-lifers is hard-wired into lib psyches, while "white supremacists" and "violent militiamen" are comic book cliches. I remember well the McCarthyistic froth into which the Clinton administration whipped itself, claiming that "violent militiamen" were hiding under every rock and behind every bush. They spent more than a year on high-profile persecutions of quite a few "weekend warriors," all for Mr. Bill's re-election benefit, and in the end virtually nothing came of any of it.

This was, in other words, the Left's version of "the war on terror." Only what "terrorizes" the Left is not genuinely "violent," bona fide "religious fanatics" who want to murder every last one of us in the name of fascistic imperialist delusions of a "global caliphate," but their conservative opponents, ascendent and in power.

And - not unlike al Qaeda - the Left is willing to use any "weapon" - including, for groups like ALF and ELF, domestic terrorism - to destroy their "infidel" enemies.

But don't get too down on Bennie. He's just a soldier of his secularist caliphate, waging political jihad as best he can.

It's only the GOP "dhimmis" that can propel him to victory.
