Heed The Warning

For (A) I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all (B) under the cloud and all (C) passed through the sea....

Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased; for (A) they were laid low in the wilderness.

Now these things happened as (B) examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as (C) they also craved.

Do not be (D) idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, "(E) The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to (F) play."

Nor let us act immorally, as (G) some of them did, and (H) twenty-three thousand fell in one day.

Nor let us try the LORD, as (I) some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents.

Nor (J) grumble, as some of them did, and (K) were destroyed by the (L) destroyer.

Now these things happened to them as an (M) example, and (N) they were written for our instruction, upon whom (O) the ends of the ages have come.

-I Corinthians 10:1, 5-11
