Hu-Goes

Hot off yesterday's wire:

Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez said that he will make a trip to North Korea to make some bilateral agreements on "technology and science matters." [quotes added]

North Korea only has two exports, and neither of them are bark recipes. Venezuela has one predominant export - oil - which the NoKos desperately need. You do the math.

As an American who is paying attention to the actions of North Korea on the west, Cuba/Venezuela on the south, and Iran on the east, and all alternately orchestrated or exploited by Red China, it's getting progressively difficult to avoid a feeling of encirclement.

Will we start taking Chavez seriously when he announces he's got nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them northward?

I wish I knew.
