Hillary's Doing Flips

It's getting hard to keep up with Hillary's pro-defense stance when it's convenient, and then anti-war stance at other times. Yesterday, we heard this:

"Believe me, I understand the frustration and the outrage," Clinton said in a speech to the Democratic National Committee meeting that brought the party's nine White House hopefuls together for the first time. "You have to have 60 votes to cap troops, to limit funding to do anything. If we in Congress don't end this war before January 2009, as president, I will."

She was talking to kook nutballs at the DNC meeting. Today, though, while talking to a pro-Israel lobbying group, she says this:

"U.S. policy must be clear and unequivocal: We cannot, we should not, we must not permit Iran to build or acquire nuclear weapons," she said. "In dealing with this threat ... no option can be taken off the table."

"To deny the Holocaust places Iran's leadership in company with the most despicable bigots and historical revisionists," she added. Clinton excoriated the Iranian administration's "pro-terrorist, anti-American, anti-Israeli rhetoric."

"We need to use every tool at our disposal, including diplomatic and economic in addition to the threat and use of military force," she added.

It must be getting real confusing for her, switching from hawk to dove to hawk to dove. I hope she doesn't get mixed up and say something like the Iran statement in front of the leftist kooks. They might burn her in effigy.
