Al Gore Pays Himself

This is priceless:

Al Gore defends his extraordinary personal energy usage by telling critics he maintains a "carbon neutral" lifestyle by buying "carbon offsets," but the company that receives his payments turns out to be partly owned and chaired by the former vice president himself.

The "party of the little guy," huh? How much longer are the suckers on the Left going to believe that? I mean, look at the lifestyles of the people who claim to "care about the working families." John Edwards? Al Gore? The Clintons? John Kerry? Ted Kennedy? How can people think they can relate to average families making $50,000 a year? I have no problem with people who make gobs of money honestly, but these same people are always talking about how "the rich" are ruining the country! How we must punish "the rich" in order to help the middle class. It's not their money that gets me, it's their hypocrisy.

JASmius adds: The question isn't how much longer the "suckers on the Left" are going to believe their own lies - I don't think they do, at least not literally - but how much longer the American people are going to keep buying in to the same swindles at the ballot box.

Before last November I would have said those days are over, but now I'm convinced there's no limit to how many times this electorate will offer itself up for ritual fleecing.
