Bush Solidly Pro-Life
From James Dobson's Citizen Link:
President Bush, in identical letters to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, wrote, “I will veto any legislation that weakens current federal policies and laws on abortion, or that encourages the destruction of human life at any stage.”
Every child, he said, deserves life and the protection of the law.
“I am writing to make sure that there is no misunderstanding of my views on these important issues."
Good for him. He has been very consistent in his pro-life values.
Dr. James C. Dobson, founder and chairman of Focus on the Family Action, said the president has proven to be a friend of the pro-life movement as well as a protector of millions of innocent lives.
"President Bush is not the first man to occupy the Oval Office who talked about valuing preborn life,” Dr. Dobson said, “but no administration has backed up those words with as much consistent policy support as his has.”
The letter demonstrates the depth of the president's core conviction that all human life, at every stage of development, is sacred, Dr. Dobson added.
I think this is one reason the Left hates him so much. He HAS core convictions, and honesty, and those are traits sorely lacking on their side. President Bush is a good man. Pray for him.
