Another Kerry "Plan" Goes Kerflooey

Lurch is like the guy who just bought a pogo stick and then went bouncing straight and unwittingly for the nearest minefield. And he's just blown himself up again.

"A growing number of Canadian online pharmacies are no longer willing to accept bulk orders from U.S. states and municipalities, the Financial Times said Monday.

"Concern in Canada that growing exports could lead to rising prices and shortages north of the border has prompted the Canadian International Pharmacy Association, whose members include several of the biggest Internet and mail-order drugstores, to act.

"'We don't want to give Americans the impression that we have unlimited supply for them to tap into on a commercial basis,' said David Mackay, the association's executive director. 'We can't be your complete drugstore.'

"The move delivers a potentially serious setback to US politicians. most notably Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, campaigning to give Americans easier access to cheap drugs from Canada.

"Kerry has argued that opening the US to Canadian imports could help lower the costs of prescription drugs for elderly Americans. Such reimportation has become one of the points of difference between him and President George W. Bush during the election campaign. But growing concern in Canada that growing exports to the US could lead to rising prices and shortages north of the border has prompted the Canadian International Pharmacy Association (CIPA), whose members include several of the biggest internet and mail-order drugstores, to act."

Damned free market strikes again. Looks like the Great White North doesn't want to be pharmaceutically raped and pillaged by its "arrogant, overbearing" southern neighbor - not even to send George W. Bush back to Texas to die lingeringly of the flu.

Speaking of which, the flu vaccine shortage can also be traced back to the Kerry-Edwards trial lawyer home base. Whittling the number of domestic vaccine manufacturers from twenty-six to four since 1967 is quite a feat. What makes it even more impressive is that none of that final four make flu vaccine, which is why we're entirely dependent upon foreign sources.

Gee, I could have sworn I heard Senator Kerry piss in Bush's face this afternoon about leaving the country naked to bioterrorism. Sounds a lot like his schitzophrenic ramblings about high oil prices when he's been a leading advocate of denying domestic oil exploration and raising gas taxes.

I guess some people gripe for constructive purposes, other people gripe for dubious purposes, and the remainder gripe for griping's sake.

And at one time or another, they've all been named "John Kerry"....
