The Terrorists Join Forces with Manray and the Dirty Bubble

The Blogosphere had a merry time yesterday ridiculing the supposed kidnapping of an American soldier by Iraqi "insurgents" that turned out to be a GI Joe doll instead.

But the hands-down award for funniest blog entry has to go to Pardon My English, who suggested a number of alternative "captives" the bad guys should have "seized" instead:

...and, just as I was thinking, "You know, the perfect punchline to this progression would be Spongebob Squarepants...

The only improvement I would have added is Patrick Star coming to the rescue armed with the Orb of Confusion.
