VBC Missionary News

The importance of prayer was one of the key principles brought out by Valley Bible Church Missions Conference keynote speaker Kameel Kilada. The church body had a chance to put that into practice on the closing night of the conference, when the attending missionaries shared prayer requests. I've been posting one per day over the past week and will continue for the next.

Janice Haylor & Marlene Stoll / Child Evangelism Fellowship (Pierce County, WA)

Janice is currently spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the children and families of Pierce County through CEF. Her vision as a CEF worker is to see churches going into prisons in every state to reach the kids of convicts. She has been ministering to the women and children at the Women's Prison at Purdy as well as McNeil Island. She also facilitates good news clubs at several area schools.

Marlene serves Pierce County as a resource for Children's 5-Day Club materials and as an instructor in training adults to minister to children. CEF's purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the LORD Jesus Christ and to disciple them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

Praise for twenty-three Good News clubs this past year, fourteen of which are in public schools. Please pray for the six hundred children reached with the Gospel through these clubs. Pray for the club at Daffodil Valley on Fridays and the six children attending. Pray for more volunteers. Pray for Diamond, a little girl who accepted the LORD. Pray for safety as Janice ministers at McNeil Island prison and Purdy prison. Praise for permission to hand out Gospel tracts to all the women at Purdy. Praise that Janice is 56% financially supported. Pray for wisdom in daily decisions.
