You Knew It Was Coming

You knew it was coming. Blame America for the bombings in London! But Derrick Z. Jackson of The Boston Globe has outdone himself. This loathsome twit says this:

Bush also said the enemy will fail. ''The terrorists can kill the innocent, but they annot stop the advance of freedom," he said. Britain's Prime Minister Tony Blair said the ''slaughter of innocent people" will fail to cower the British people, and Canada's Prime Minister Paul Martin called the attack an ''unspeakable attack on the innocent."

It was all appropriate in the moment. In a greater context, there is a tragic hollowness. The world, of course, shares the sympathies of Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York, who said the London bombings were a ''despicable, cowardly act." Yet every invoking of the innocents also reminds us of our despicable, cowardly killing of innocent Iraqi civilians.

Did you catch that? Jackson is equating our American troops fighting in Iraq to the animals who indiscriminately kill innocent people. Wouldn’t you love to put this prick in the middle of a bunch of Marines and say, “Okay, NOW call them despicable and cowardly?”

He goes on:

Or perhaps you forgot about them. That was by design. We have rightfully mourned the loss of nearly 3,000 people on 9/11. We have begun mourning the loss of about 40 people in London. We have mourned the loss of 1,751 US soldiers, who, bless them, were following orders of their commander in chief. But to this day, there has been no major acknowledgement, let alone apology, by Bush or Blair for the massive amounts of carnage we created in a war waged over what turned out to be a lie, the nonexistent weapons of mass destruction.

That one paragraph contains so much error and distortion that it’s difficult to know where to start. First, Jackson fakes concern over the loss of life…right in the middle of exploiting that loss of life in order to trash a President he doesn’t like along with his country. Why doesn’t he mention the carnage wrought by Saddam Hussein and his evil regime? How many wars does he know where there are no lives lost? And then there’s the kicker, the ignorant icing in the cake, the “lies” about “nonexistent” weapons of mass destruction. Perhaps he is privy to where all of those weapons went. Apparently, they disappeared into thin air, with President Bush’s knowledge, and then he purposefully deceived the American people so he could go to war. What total stupidity these Leftists demonstrate!

And now, the kicker:

Worse, this denial of death, in a war that did not have to happen, is sure to fuel the very terrorism we say we will defeat.

And…

But this posturing of America as the great innocent, when everyone knows we kill innocents ourselves, is likely only to make us look more like the devil in the eyes of a suicide bomber.

America-hating jerks like Derrick Z. Jackson make me sick. Wonder how our troops feel when they read vomitus such as the above? Jackson doesn’t care, nor do his allies on the Left. Read the article, then take advantage of his email address at the bottom. We need to let him know what we think of this crap.
