Smaller Bites
....in the mornings, anyway. The big "meals" will have to be in the evenings, when I'm most likely to fall asleep prematurely. The solace is that falling asleep is the only thing I do prematurely.
Solace for me, anyway.

Here's a document from the Saddamite stack on which the Bushies have been idiotically sitting for the past three years that shows that the Iraqi dictator was fully intent upon pulling some 9/11s of his own, quite apart from whatever involvement he may have had in 9/11 itself. The translation, independently triple-checked, is most revealing:
But other than that, and his subsidizing of Palestinian suicide-bombing, and his terrorist training facility at Salmon Pak, and his documented al Qaeda ties, and his equally documented evacuation of his WMD stockpiles to Syria with Russian assistance, he was no threat at all. Gee, why EVER did we attack him?

How is it that the Democrats have one of their biggest crooks outed, he just happens to be the vice-chairman of the House Ethics Committee, Crazy Nancy actually rallies to his public defense, and yet House Republicans are taking the "corruption" beating and Donks are getting a free pass?
That's alright, I know the answer. Sometimes I have to pose the question anyway just to help make myself believe that my party is really this PR-inept.

I love how Jed Babbin has framed the latest Cynthia McKinney episode:
I recall Jonah Goldberg once describing McKinney as "dumber than a box of hair." Seems somewhat less than entirely coincidental that such a 3-watt-bulb intellect should be floating in such a sea of violence-prone hauteur. One can only imagine the open season her equally daffy and indiscrete party and media allies would enjoy if "Big Cindy" resided on the other side of the aisle.
I'd ask, "Where are the Republicans?" but I already did that above, and I'm trying to limit myself to one a post....

BTW, did you know that both U.S. combat casualties and car bombings in Iraq have plummeted over the past six months? And that even Iraqi combat casualties have leveled off?
How about that 211,000 new jobs were created in March? That the unemployment rate dropped to 4.7% – matching its lowest level in five years? That since May 2003, the U.S. private sector has created 5.2 million new jobs? And that since February 2004, wages have been rising at a slightly faster pace than core inflation, and the median wage has climbed to more than $600 a week for the first time ever?

I love how Jed Babbin has framed the latest Cynthia McKinney episode:
The Democrat Party is no longer the party of Martin Luther King (or, for that matter, Rodney King). It's now the party of cop-assaulter Cynthia McKinney. The good patient guys and gals who are Capitol Police shouldn't have to demand condemnation of her conduct by other Dems. But if they do, they'll be disappointed. I refuse to waste more than a few sentences on that horrible person, or to say more than if she is guilty she should be tossed out of Congress forthwith. The only things I care to know about McKinney is how many times she slugged the cop with her cell phone and whether said phone worked after it - and the cop - were so abused.
I recall Jonah Goldberg once describing McKinney as "dumber than a box of hair." Seems somewhat less than entirely coincidental that such a 3-watt-bulb intellect should be floating in such a sea of violence-prone hauteur.
