The Greatest 9/11 Tribute

....is not to further mourn the dead from that red letter day, but to celebrate that no more of us have joined them.

That is Ralph Peters' message today in the New York Post, and it is indeed an inspiring one. That it is not widely proclaimed is a function of who is most responsible for this success.

***Islamist fanatics have not been able to stage a single additional attack on our homeland.

***al Qaeda is badly crippled.

***Terrorists no longer operate in freedom.

***Our enemies fear our military again.

***Iraq has become al Qaeda's Vietnam.

***We've achieved new levels of domestic security without compromising civil liberties.

***America is much stronger today than we were five years ago.

Five years ago we were locked in the Clinton foreign policy status quo. 9/11 was the result. The aforelisted progress since is entirely to the credit of George W. Bush. And the Democrats are trying their rabid best to tear all that progress down and return us to where we used to be: in essence, sitting on a massive Islamist version of death row.

They say that in order to get where you're going you have to remember where you've been. Let the rememberance of what happened five years ago today be the public catalyst for ensuring that we do not repeat the mistakes that gave rise to this somber occasion.
