The Perle-Dean Debate - Hosted By Chris Rock?

Last night there was a national security debate between Pentagon advisor Richard Perle and newly crowned DNC grand poobah Howie Dean.

I'll allow some time for the hysterical laughter to die down.

Did I mention that Brother Hinderaker predicted it would be "the most one-sided affair since the Little Big Horn"?

Well, I don't know if this is symptomatic of how it went (C-SPAN is airing it next Saturday, if you want to see the carnage), but reportedly one of the Deaniacs in the audience threw a shoe at Mr. Perle while screaming "MOTHER-FUCKING LIAR!!!!!" over and over and over as the police dragged him out of the debate hall.

There isn't a report - yet - on whether Dr. Demented himself physically and profanely attacked Mr. Perle in turn. Maybe that audience member was a plant intended to make Dean look sane by comparison.

Rocket Man made brevity into profundity with the observation that, "There is simply no plumbing the depth to which the American left has fallen."

Or how much further it's going to plummet.
