Military Desertion

Apparently there are some things that DO demonstrate the willingness of our all volunteer forces to support the President's fight against terror... for example:
According to yesterday's NewMax.com article by Carl Limbacher the desertion rate of ALL services showed a drop after 9/11. AND most deserters return on their own after a few months with only a few court martialed.
You'd have never guessed that from anything CNN, ABC or CBS presented to the public....

The Army, Navy and Air Force reported 7,978 desertions in 2001, the year of the September 11th attacks, but only 3,456 in 2005. The Marine Corps also showed a drop in desertion numbers last year compared to 2001.
Desertions in 2005 represented less than a quarter (.24) of one percent of the 1.4 million American forces. During the Vietnam era, 3.4% of Army personnel deserted.
